Watercolor Workshop with Naseeba Khader 🎨✨Join Mississauga-based artist Naseeba Khader for a captivating watercolor workshop exploring the art and architecture of Istanbul’s Selatin Mosques—masterpieces commissioned by the Ottoman dynasty. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the grandeur of Ottoman mosque design, from intricate details to sweeping domes and minarets, while learning how to sketch and paint these forms with watercolor.Guided by Naseeba’s passion for Islamic art and her expertise in traditional techniques, you’ll gain hands-on experience in capturing the elegance of Ottoman mosque design while discovering the cultural and spiritual layers woven into each structure.Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to deepen your appreciation for Ottoman architecture, develop new artistic skills, and creatively connect with one of the most iconic traditions of Islamic art. 🖌✨✨Over two successive weeks, you will first (on September 14) learn how to sketch the graceful forms and intricate details of Ottoman mosque architecture. Deeply inspired by the beauty of her surroundings, her work captures the elegance of minarets, the vivid hues of flowers, and the flowing curves of calligraphy. A dedicated student of Islamic calligraphy, Naseeba studies under İstanbul-based Master Calligrapher Shahryanshah Sirajuddin through Deen Arts.
