Solo Chicken Productions is a professional performing arts company located on the traditional territory of the Wolastoqiyik / Wəlastəkewiyik (Fredericton) in New Brunswick. We foster the creative arts through the creation and development of new works of physical theatre, the facilitation of community collaborations and by offering accessible arts-based programming.  Founded in 2004, the company is built on the philosophy that a healthy arts ecology and society should create space for everyone to create and share their voice.  Engaging in the act of cultural production offers communities the opportunity to foster a sense of belonging and to share their voice, all of which lead to, and promote a healthy, connected community.

Solo Chicken Productions in Partnership with L’Arche Fredericton, Open Your Art &amp; Charlotte Street Arts Centre Presents<h1>WE ARE LUMINOUS</h1><blockquote>‘A relaxed performance where the gifts of Spirit Project artists are nurtured and celebrated.’</blockquote>Fredericton, NB – It is with great joy that Solo Chicken Productions and partners invite audiences to a new theatrical experience, WE ARE LUMINOUS. This show, created and performed by Spirit Project artists with and without intellectual disabilities, celebrates the unique gifts of each individual, highlights diverse artistic voices and shares the joys of living in an inclusive society.Since May 2019, Solo Chicken and partners have run The Spirit Project, a series of mixed ability art-based workshops where folks of ALL abilities, including adults with intellectual disabilities, come together in community to create. For the first year our community took workshops in a variety of forms including Visual Arts, Improv, Dance, Music and Film and explored and shared our unique gifts. The Spirit Project became a weekly celebration where friendships blossomed, gifts were revealed, and inclusion championed. The project was slated to conclude in May 2020, but the Spirit Project community were eager to continue and decided to embark on a second year focused on creating a public performance.And embark we did, returning in September 2020 to begin working on our opus. Led by the desire to share the gifts of our artists and to demonstrate the beauty of inclusion we decided the ‘show’ would be an invitation to join our circle and share in our artistic practice. WE ARE LUMINOUS is a walk through a day at The Spirit Project, featuring our warm-up, meditation, games and special performances of our Spirit Project song and poem. The performance will conclude with an offering of food created by HUB in the Kitchen, led by Chef Yves. Audience members will either sit ‘in’ the circle with us or will view from an adjacent seating area. The performances are ‘relaxed’ which means lights are on, noise is moderated, and all are welcome to participate and be in the space in any way. As of today, all performers and audience members will be masked and will be seated at a distance.<blockquote>Come bear witness to the stories and gifts of Spirit Project artists and experience, through art, the profound joy that comes from celebrating difference and living in community.</blockquote>

WE ARE LUMINOUS TICKET INFORMATIONWhere: Charlotte Street Arts Centre Auditorium (732 Charlotte Street)When: 	Thursday June 24, 2021 – 1PM – 2:30PM Sunday June 27, 2021 – 2PM – 3:30PM Tuesday June 29, 2021 – 1PM – 2:30PM Tickets: PWYC – All proceeds go towards the Spirit Project for our 2021/2022 activities!-	Seating is limited to 30 audience members per show.-	You MUST book your ticket ahead of time.CIRCLE SEATING – 10 Tickets Available/Show

Folks who opt for CIRCLE SEATING will sit in the circle with all the Spirit Project artists. You will be asked to join in and are required to wear a mask. (We promise this is a very fun option.)

GALLERY SEATING – 20 Tickets Available/Show

Folks who opt for GALLERY SEATING will sit on the stage in the auditorium and will have a view of the Spirit Project Circle and all the fun. Folks are encouraged to join in but will be asked to stay on the stage and are required to wear a mask. 
PLEASE NOTE THAT BECAUSE TICKETS ARE &#x27;BY DONATION&#x27; YOU MUST PURCHASE EACH TICKET IN A SEPARATE ORDER. - We apologize for the inconvenience but so far Event Brite doesn&#x27;t support the &#x27;purchase&#x27; of multiple tickets &#x27;by donation&#x27;.
