E﻿nsemble Laude presents a fresh, bright program of works by contemporary female Canadian composers, in advance of our new recording project in June!Join Victoria&#x27;s premier women&#x27;s choir for this bright, enlivening, musical burst of spring! Wellspring showcases pieces from modern female Canadian composers, several of which were composed for Ensemble Laude. These feature commissions by Sarah Quartel, including her Sanctum: A Requiem on Vancouver Island and How Can I Keep from Singing, and a new arrangement of A la claire fontaine by our own Dr. Elizabeth MacIsaac, Musical Director.Exciting pieces such as Jam! by Tracy Wong and Mother Earth by Cree composer Sherryl Sewapagaham are layered with the haunting La belle se promene by Meghan Quinlan and Aer enim volat by Hildegard von Bingen. Repertoire from Wellspring will be included in Ensemble Laude’s first major recording project in over ten years, as we create a new album in June!D﻿oors open 30 minutes before the performance.E﻿mail tickets@ensemblelaude.org for student promo code.A﻿pply promo code CHILD at checkout for child ticket.
