What Does 'Smart' Mean? Applying Multiple Intelligences in an Engineering Setting

We often get in the bad habit of assuming that to be smart you have to be a major math whiz at the top of your class, but intelligence is a much more complex subject. Join Katy Warren for a discussion on the theory of multiple intelligences, and how becoming a well-rounded thinker can give you an edge in the engineering world.
Katy Warren is a fourth-year electrical engineering student at MUN and the winner of season two of CBC’s “Canada’s Smartest Person.” As a member of the MUN team, she placed first regionally and second nationally in the re-engineering category of the Canadian Engineering Competition in 2016. Outside of engineering, she is a brand new member of local improv troupe Stanley Braxton and plays for the Neversweets with 709 Roller Derby.
Join us on Thursday, May 26th at 7:00 pm at EN2006, S.J. Carew Building, MUN. All are welcome and the event is free.
