Working at Heights (Ontario CPO-Approved) — Public ClassTrain with the team backed by 50 years in rigging. Sling-Choker Academy’s instructor-led course builds real, practical skills so you can work at elevation safely and confidently—and meet Ontario requirements.Who should attend New workers, supervisors, contractors, or anyone needing initial WAH certification or a refresher.You’ll learn<ul><li>Hazard recognition &amp; controls</li><li>Fall protection systems: guardrails, travel restraint, fall arrest</li><li>Harness/lanyard inspection, proper donning &amp; fit</li><li>Anchors, lifelines, connectors &amp; energy absorbers</li><li>Calculating fall clearance &amp; managing swing-fall risk</li><li>Worker duties under OHSA and site best practices</li></ul>Certification<ul><li>CPO-approved proof of training issued on successful completion</li><li>Valid 3 years in Ontario</li><li>Wallet card provided</li></ul>Refresher attendees<ul><li>Required: Proof of previous Ontario CPO-approved WAH training (e.g., learner ID or wallet card).</li><li>If your proof is expired, please register for the full course instead.</li></ul>Format<ul><li>Initial: 1 day with hands-on practice</li><li>Refresher (if applicable): ~4 hours</li><li>Small class sizes for coaching and Q&amp;A</li></ul>What to bring<ul><li>Government photo ID</li><li>Preferred: Bring your own full-body harness for best sizing/fit (sanitized practice gear available if needed)</li><li>Closed-toe footwear</li></ul>Location &amp; schedule See event details on this page.
