Workshop Topic: Workplace HarassmentPresented by METRAC (FLEW) in conjunction with the Women’s Centre of CalgaryNo one goes to work expecting to be harassed or threatened –but for many women, that’s the reality. Workplace harassment is a serious issue that shows up in many forms, from yelling, threats, unwanted touching or inappropriate comments. These actions can leave people feeling unsafe, disrespected, and alone. For some, the experience is made even harder by racism and discrimination in the workplace. This workshop will help participants· Understand what workplace harassment is· Learn about workplace sexual harassment· Find out what the law says about their rights· Know what steps to take if it happens to them
