Join this free workshop to learn about cycle tourism and how to welcome cyclists to Bruce, Grey & Simcoe Counties.

Bruce Grey Simcoe / Regional Tourism Organization 7 and Ontario By Bike are pleased to invite you to join a free in-person Cycle Tourism Destination Development Workshop at the Collingwood Public Library.

In 2023, cycle tourism accounted for $532 million in visitor spending in Ontario, across 1.5 million visits.

With stunning landscapes and natural beauty, world-class paved and gravel road riding, extensive rail trails, and exhilarating mountain biking, more and more cyclists are visiting Bruce, Grey & Simcoe Counties.

Join this 2 hour in-person workshop to learn more about how welcoming cyclists is good for your business, good for the region, learn about exciting developments in cycle tourism across the counties and the province, and how to get certified as bicycle friendly.

This in-person workshop will have an extended meeting format compared to our Feb 26 webinar and will feature guest speakers from local and regional tourism partners, plus opportunities for discussion and networking with other tourism industry professionals. Limited spaces available. Refreshments will be provided.

The Network is open to accommodations (roofed accommodations, camping), attractions (galleries, museums, wineries, breweries, etc.) food service providers (cafes, restaurants, etc.), business areas and other cycling-related businesses (bike shops, tours, rentals) wanting to attract cycle tourists to their location.

Certified locations appear on the Ontario By Bike Map and are on the business directory for your region: Simcoe County - Grey County - Bruce County Southwest. The following requirements must be met to become a certified bicycle friendly location and participate in the Network:
