Please note: This ticket is for part 1 on March 6 and part 2 on April 3.Calling all York Region writers! We're launching a collaborative space for writers of all skill levels. Each month will have two meetings: the first will be a registered writing workshop hosted by a local author from the WCYR (Writers' Community of York Region). The second will be a drop-in (no registration) Writing Circle at the library to share your work, practice your writing, and get advice from others in a welcoming and informal writer's circle.Mar. 6: Workshop Part 1 - Put your readers in the scene: what it means to show and not tell (Registered) 6:30 -8:00 p.m.Mar. 20: Writing Circle (drop-in)April 3: Workshop Part 2 - Put your readers in the scene: what it means to show and not tell (Registered) 6:30 -8:00 p.m.April 17: Writing Circle (drop-in)**This program is for adults.Priority will be given to confirmed RHPL card holders.Program location: Central Branch, Room AProgram Dates: Mar. 6 (registered workshop), 20 (drop-in); Apr. 3 (registered workshop), 17 (drop-in) Elise Abram is a retired high school teacher of English and Computer Studies, providing coaching to writers of all ages and at all levels of development from middle school through Ph.D. candidate. She is a former archaeologist, editor, publisher, award-winning author, avid reader of literary and science fiction, and student of the human condition. Elise is a member of the Writers' Community of York Region.
