Writers! Put down your pens and join East End Arts at our Writers’ Mix & Mingle for an evening of performance, food, and conversation. Featuring a reading by Sofia Mostaghimi, Managing Fiction Editor at Broken Pencil Magazine.
There will be a cash bar at this event, as well as non-alcoholic beverages and light refreshments. 
The Writers' Mix & Mingle is part of the Weekend of Words, a free, three-day celebration of language and literary arts in east Toronto from September 14-16 at St. Matthew's Clubhouse, presented by East End Arts. GUEST PERFORMER 
<A HREF="http://www.sofiamostaghimi.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sofia Mostaghimi </A>is a Toronto-based fiction writer, editor, and educator. She was born in Sherbrooke, QC, to a Québécoise mother and an Iranian father, and raised in Mississauga, ON, where she mastered the art of hanging out in Tim Horton’s parking lots. Most recently, her short story “Desperada” was long-listed for The 2018 Journey Prize. Her fiction has also appeared in The Unpublished City Anthology, curated by Dionne Brand, THIS Magazine, The Hart House Review, and Joyland Magazine, among other publications. She is currently the Managing Fiction Editor at Broken Pencil Magazine, and is working on completing her first novel.
