Writing Funny Characters Workshop

Writing Funny Characters Workshop

Overview

Join this workshop to develop your creation and writing of funny characters!

When a comedy writer is building their world, be it big or small, the funniest part is usually the people who inhabit that world. In this workshop, we will explore how to bring both humanity and hilarity to the characters in our writing through exploration of interpersonal dynamics, absurdity and timing. This workshop will include discussion, working from scripted materials, as well as private time to write.

Workshops are recommended for people ages 12 and over. Children under 12 years old are welcome with parent/guardian supervision. Please get a ticket for each person (incl. all children).

The workshop is admission by donation! Suggested $20 - $30 to support facilitator fees and supplies.

If you have any questions, please email us: info@alcoveartscentre.ca
