Yard Athletics and lululemon invite you to come on out and get your hands dirty with some good old fashioned manual labour! Once again we are putting together a unique outdoor event that will be a great workout, in addition to being for a great cause. If you can, envision Sports Day mixed with the NFL Combine, tailored for the modern day Weekend Warrior. Tire flipping, sled pushing, medicine ball heaving, agility weaving, speed dashing and team relays, all in the spirit of sport.You are responsible for compiling a team of 4 individuals. Entry fee is $200/team, with all proceeds going towards Kidsport BC, a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under.You can expect a fun-filled day full of swag bags, team awards, banging beats courtesy of DJ Henry Gould, beer gardens, eats courtesy of Big Day BBQ, a belly full of laughs, hands full of callouses and grins from ear to ear. Meal and beverage vouchers are included in participants' registration fees.This year we will be hosting both a “Social” and “Competitive” division consisting of 96 participants (24 teams) in each division. This means double the fun, and double the proceeds. Our “Social” division will be slightly less physically challenging and will compete prior to our “Competitive” division, giving you more opportunity to enjoy the food, beverage, and sun.“YARD WORK 2019” will take place on July 20th, 2019 at Thunderbird Stadium.
