Young Mining Professionals Toronto was founded in 2015 by Michael Woeller, Michael Long and Stephen Stewart, and has grown into the premier networking group for mining professionals interested in meeting like minded individuals who have dedicated their careers to the natural resource sector.We integrate professionals from the technical, financial and legal aspects of our industry to promote a better understanding of the inputs for success. With Toronto being a global mining hub, our goal is to deliver value to our members by fostering connections between our members to facilitate new business opportunities and educational experiences.

Young Mining Professionals Toronto is excited to announce the 2019 ‘YMP Fall Social’ in celebration ofthe 2020 YMP Scholarship Fund.
YMP’s 10 scholarships will provide a total of $44,000 to students who are pursuing a career in the mining industry and are funded by Barrick Gold, Agnico Eagle Mines, Iamgold, Yamana Gold, Anaconda Mining, Orefinders Resources, and The Northern Miner.
YMP is a global association of mining professionals that share the goal of advancing the global profile and leadership of the mining industry. The Toronto chapter hosts a range of events including our quarterly Distinguished Speaker Dinners which attracts the industry’s top icons, and the annual YMP Awards, named after two iconic entrepreneurs in the mining industry, Peter Munk and Eira Thomas, which recognizes two exceptional young mining entrepreneurs. This year we also doubled our YMP Scholarship Fund intended to nurture Canada’s next generation of mining leaders.
This casual social event is focused on mixing and mingling with other mining focused individuals. Delicious bites and drinks from Pong Bar @ the Walrus will be provided. A ping pong tournament will be organized for interested pairs.
