Innovation Factory is a not-for-profit business accelerator and a regional innovation center, serving as the catalyst for technology innovation in Southern Ontario since 2010.Providing business advisory services, training, mentorship, and strategic connections, Innovation Factory helps drive market adoption, revenues, investment, jobs and leverage of intellectual property. Innovators can also access sector-specific resources including exclusive smart transportation test environments and data and formal life science and health innovation ecosystems.

This collaborative initiative aims to achieve multiple objectives, benefiting not only Innovation Factory clients but also women and non-binary individuals seeking valuable work experience in a non-traditional workplace. <h2>About YWCA Uplift Program</h2>The <a href="https://innovationfactory.ca/uplift-program/" title="https://innovationfactory.ca/uplift-program/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">YWCA Uplift program</a> offers skilled support to Innovation Factory clients at the <a href="https://innovationfactory.ca/programs-and-services/" title="https://innovationfactory.ca/programs-and-services/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Validation, Efficiency, or Scale stage</a>, with a full time team member who can provide mentorship to the candidate, towards completion of a data-specific project.This 12-week job placement program, commencing on June 2, 2025 and ending on August 22, 2025, offers startups a unique opportunity to mentor and work alongside candidates who are passionate about data. You can dedicate 3-10 hours per month to provide guidance to the candidates, ensuring that your project objectives are met.Candidates are enrolled in the YWCA Uplift Program and come with a solid foundation in data science. They are either reskilled or upskilled on the latest topics in Data Science, ensuring they are equipped with the most current knowledge to add value to your project.Our program leverages the expertise of professors from <a href="https://courses.opened.uoguelph.ca/public/category/courseCategoryCertificateProfile.do?method=load&amp;certificateId=8353906" title="https://courses.opened.uoguelph.ca/public/category/courseCategoryCertificateProfile.do?method=load&amp;certificateId=8353906" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">University of Guelph Open Learning and Educational Support program</a>.
