Join the City of Victoria for Zero Waste Day — a free, hands on event focused on repairing, reusing and recycling everyday household items.
Zero Waste Day brings together local partners and repair experts to help extend the life of common items, reduce landfill waste and support a circular economy.
What to expect
• A repair café where volunteers help fix everyday household items
• Textile mending demonstrations and hands on learning opportunities
• A reuse donation drive for items in good working condition
• Specialty recycling drop off for select materials not accepted in curbside collection
What you can bring
• Repairable household items, including small appliances, electronics, clothing, bicycles, small wooden furniture, dull knives
• Reusable items for donation, including textiles, home furnishings, books, sports equipment, small appliances and electronics in good working condition
• Specialty recyclables such as flexible plastic, foam packaging, small appliances and electronics
