Engineering and Construction Services at the City of Toronto

Creating the safe and sustainable municipal infrastructure that makes Toronto so livable is the responsibility of the City's Engineering & Construction Services Division. With an annual capital spending valued at over $500 million, the Division provides specialized engineering services to internal clients, including Toronto Water, Transportation Services, and Solid Waste Management Services, designing and constructing roads, sewers, watermains, and other municipal infrastructure. The Division also undertakes the engineering review of development applications and proposals for works by the development industry, utility companies, and other public agencies and third parties, such as Metrolinx, processing 1,000s of applications each year.
