Heritage Resource Centre Speaker Series
The HRC combines the functions of an advisory centre for built heritage and an interpretive gallery presenting the City’s history and cultural heritage, acting as an unique vehicle for fostering an appreciation of community through innovative approaches to cultural heritage stewardship. Furthermore, the HRC functions as a community space and is intended to be a hub for education and celebration of Kingston’s cultural heritage resources in all its forms including:
• Best practices in cultural and built heritage conservation• Advice and information about Heritage Act requirements and approvals• Information on Kingston’s multifaceted history through the built form, archeological investigation, local stories and events, including the Speaker Series.Located in the heart of downtown, it provides a central point for the community to meet, discuss and learn about cultural heritage matters.
