Kate Arms, JD, PCC, CPCC
Co-founder, Neurodiversity Coaching Academy
CEO and Lead Coach, Signal Fire Coaching
I have been helping smart and sensitive people thrive since 1984. My career has taken me through law, technology, publishing, non-profits and the arts.
I am known for my expertise in the unique challenges faced by innovative, neurodiverse, gifted, highly-sensitive, twice-exceptional, and creative adults and parents of such children. I help bright and quirky (dare I say weird) people design and live in unique and wonderful ways that feel fulfilling.
I bring a trauma-informed, gender-aware, and inclusive approach to helping adults who have struggled with the challenges of being unusually smart, sensitive, or creative.
I love helping people and organizations tackle important challenges that feel almost impossible.
I have been a professional coach for over a decade and have been mentoring and teaching coaching since 2016. I specialize in coaching creators and innovators, twice-exceptional and profoundly gifted adults, people with adult-diagnosed AuDHD, and parents of twice-exceptional kids.
My coaching work combines deep experience in embodied cognition, applied improvisation, applied mindfulness, the psychology of neurodiversity & systems for collective innovation. I offer individual coaching and organizational coaching with a focus on culture-building and designing systems to support adaptive change that sticks.
I have trauma-informed training with specific focuses in improvisational dance and mindfulness practices through InterPlay and David Treleaven's Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness.
I hold a BA in Theatre and Biopsychology from Cornell University and a JD from Harvard Law School. I am credentialed as an International Coach Federation PCC, an InterPlay Leader, a Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness Practitioner, a certified ICAgile Expert in Enterprise Coaching, and a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach. I am a graduate of the Co-Active Leadership Program.
