Lu Horta

Lu Horta is a Brazilian singer and composer who graduated in 1993 from the popular music course at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). She studied rhythm with Professor José Eduardo Gramani and vocal and body percussion with musicians Stênio Mendes and Fernando Barboza. In 1996, she participated in the formation of the body percussion group Barbatuques, of which she is still a member.

She studied vocal technique with Mauricio Martinazzo for 15 years.

In 1998, she attended the first module of the Audio-Vocal course at the Tomatis Institute in Paris.

In 2002, she attended the courses The Art of Singing and Individual Development and The Ear and the Art of Singing given by Thomas Adam (Germany).

In 2006, she completed the training of an artistic educator through Musical Perception and Literacy through Song (PAM) with Ricardo Breim (São Paulo).

In 2010, she trained as a singer-therapist at the Raphael School of Singing and Cantotherapy (Brazil - Germany).

In 2018 and 2019, she worked as a vocal coach for the actors of the Netflix series “Most Beautiful Thing” (seasons 1 and 2).

In 2019, she completed the Bertazzo Method training in São Paulo, being invited to teach singing and rhythm classes in partnership with Ivaldo Bertazzo in the Ateliê dos Sentidos course.

She works as a singing and body percussion teacher, giving workshops for professional and amateur groups, conducting training for art educators, and acting as a vocal coach for actors, singers, and everyone.
