RAINscapeTO & Toronto Green Community

RAINscapeTO is an employment social enterprise based in Toronto that offers eco-landscaping services focusing on the installation of rain gardens and other Earth-friendly landscapes that contribute to climate resilience, ecosystem biodiversity and storm-water management.

RAINscapeTO contributes to the local ecosystem by:

• Capturing, retaining and managing rain on your property

• Planting native species that support pollinators

• Avoiding the use of power tools, chemical fertilizers & pesticides.

In 2021, we launched GreenForceTO in partnership with the City of Toronto’s Green Streets and Building Up allowing us to expand our eco-landscaping approach to green infrastructure maintenance which includes bioswales, pollinator gardens, plant beds and tree trenches in sidewalks, as well as medians and traffic islands in the roadway.

RAINscapeTO is a project of the Toronto Green Community, a charitable organization with over 25 years of experience in addressing environmental issues through community engagement and the development of numerous grassroots initiatives. Our mission is to inspire, facilitate and support diverse communities in developing an environmentally sustainable city through education, engagement and joint neighbourhood initiatives.

Toronto Green Community operates as an incubator for emerging community-based programs and is home to established programs including Lost Rivers, Rivers Rising and the Eglinton park Mashkiki and Community Garden.
