Suenos Tango, Cranbrook BC

Sharlene and Dennis have been dancing Argentine Tango since 2005. They offer Argentine tango dance instruction at beginner and intermediate levels to students from Cranbrook and Kimberley, even as far away as Invermere and Fernie. Ages range from 16 to 70 years of age with some exceptions for younger students.Argentine Tango is an Improvisational DanceWhen dancing Argentine Tango, the follower never knows from moment to moment, what the leader will ask her to do. The leader takes the music and silently hands it to her in bursts, using only the language of his body. As he feels the follower accept this lead, they move together in oneness and in harmony. Focus is not on steps nor on patterns, but great emphasis is placed on the connection between the dancers and with the music. Once the principles of lead and follow are acquired, steps and patterns fall into place easily.Dennis & Sharlene Parker250 426-9452 (cell)
