Summit Leaders
Summit Leaders is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to democratizing access to business and entrepreneurship training for Canadian high school students.
Summit Leaders’ main activity is running start-up pitch competitions in Canadian high schools located in communities facing external and socio-economic challenges. Students are asked to form teams and over the course of several weeks come up with and develop a business plan for a start-up of their choice. Biweekly workshops are held on topics such as market analysis, competitive analysis and finance to help support the students with their plans.
The engine of the Summit Leaders program involves pairing students with business mentors, who help the students develop their business plans. The mentors, who include both business students from local universities and industry professionals, provide educational guidance and act as a source of information about job and career opportunities.
Summit Leaders runs its program in four cities across Canada. We work with schools located in communities facing a number of external challenges including model schools and schools located in priority areas.
