The Calgary Chinook Fund

The Chinook Lesbian & Gay Fund (the Calgary Chinook Fund) supports charitable organizations providing services, programming, education, and support for and about the LGBTQ2S+ community in the Calgary area. The fund has for about 15 years been building an endowment fund which is invested by the Calgary Foundation. The capital of the fund is never spent, it just keeps building and spinning off ever increasing annual grants. Each year income produced from money invested is given out in grants to various charitable community groups. Over the years grants have been given out to many Calgary area organizations, such as; Calgary Outlink, Fairytales, Calgary Sexual Health Centre, Camp Fyrefly, and 3rd Street Theatre.
