Are dedicated to creating a vibrant, inspired, creative, and collaborative tap dance and percussive arts community in

the City of Calgary. We aspire to do so by:

-Promoting awareness of the practice of rhythm tap through educational & performance opportunities

-Creating a platform for the creation and presentation of new tap work

-Connecting the tap & music communities through collaborative projects

-Fostering national and international relationships

-Inspiring and supporting the development of youth, emerging and professional tap dance artists

-Providing an inclusive environment, where individual and collective artistic voices are supported

TTRS is fortunate to operate under the leadership of one of the most diverse and experienced visionaries in the Canadian tap field. International Artistic Director, Tasha Lawson brings 25 + years of expertise spanning festival producer, choreographer, educator, artistic director and performer.

A key component of the Tri-Tone program is providing opportunities to share and celebrate the passion and talent of young performers. Partnerships with the National Music Centre of Canada, Decidedly Jazz Danceworks, Jazz YYC, and others, provide for multiple collaborative and innovative community performance opportunities throughout the year.

Tri-Tone Dancers have been invited to perform at Chicago Human Rhythm Project, New York City Tap Festival, Third Coast Rhythm Project, Vancouver International Tap Festival, Toronto Rhythm Initiative, Alberta Culture Days, Mayor’s Luncheon, Lilac Festival, Heritage Park, Calgary Stampede Youth Talent Showcase, Calgary's Rhythm, Body and Soul Tap Festival, and much more.
