Wilfrid Laurier University - Faculty of Education

The Faculty of Education is proud of its extensive community partnerships, our vibrant student community, and growing alumni network. 

The Faculty began in 2007 with one post-baccalaureate Bachelor of Education (BEd) program and from these humble beginnings has grown to offer a BEd program in two divisions, a Master of Education program, a minor in education featuring courses that routinely have wait lists, Additional Qualifications courses for existing teachers to expand their knowledge, and an innovative Mental Health in the Classroom certificate.

We have also contiunued to expand our community outreach with the development of LEAP and LAUNCH programming for children, and the establishment of the Educator and Leadership Institute (ELI).  ELI aims to build teaching and leadership capacity in communities globally and currently has sites in Haiti, Nepal and Egypt.
