Description

The Coming of the Light: Advent to Winter Solstice--Thursdays

Begin a new ‘holiday’ tradition for yourself in which the heart and the body lead the way. Balance the darkening days with early-morning candlelight meditation and restorative yoga. Replenish your nervous and endocrine systems, adrenals, and energy by using supported, held postures to align body, breath, and mind. The endpoint of this ‘elemental advent’ is not a day or an exchange of presents, but rather a rekindling of our own presence, and a new way of relating to the darkness and the light, inside and out.

6 Thursdays 7:30-9:00 am / Nov 12-Dec 17 / YFM Studio / $90

Deepen Your Practice—Saturdays

Build on the foundations you’ve laid! Learn and practice the same sequence each week in order to use your yoga as a meditation practice and to build your skill and knowledge of specific postures. Workshop individual postures, developing your experiential knowledge of the biomechanics and functional-movement benefits as well as the energetic and therapeutic gifts of each. Grow your practice into something personal and portable that nourishes you and supports you to [re]create your life in the shape of love.

6 Saturdays 7:30-9:00 am / meditation (1/2 hour) + asana practice (1 hour) / Nov 14-Dec 19 / YFM Studio / $90

Yoga for Creatives: Give Your Deepest Gifts--Mondays

As the year moves toward Winter Solstice, use your yoga practice to keep opening to and expressing your greatest presence and your own deepest gifts. Keep the channel open! Notice how being more fully embodied has already deepened your creative practice—and to daily life. In this series, use the energetics of yoga, meditation and creative practice to loosen and let go of anything in the way of your authentic, heart-centred life. Everything you want is on the other side of Resistance.

6 Mondays 7:30-9:00 am / Nov 16-Dec 21 / YFM Studio / $90

WORKSHOP—Shamanism & Yoga: Moving into the North

The North is the direction of winter, of silence, of turning inward, pregnancy and incubation, of lying fallow, of waiting. It’s the domain of the crone, of wisdom, and of visioning. It is where we sit with the absence of all that has died or gone, and with the empty space that will hold all that is to come. Using yoga in combination with shamanic journeying techniques, Diane will guide participants to an experiential knowing of this place in themselves, and the wisdom that lies there.

Saturday, December 5 / 2:00-6:00 pm / $60 / Friends welcome
