Graduate Student Orientation 2019

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto would like to welcome and invite you to the 2019 Graduate Student Orientation!

Open to all incoming MSc, MScAC and PhD students, this is an opportunity for you to meet your fellow graduate students, faculty members and staff, and to learn about how to make the most of your graduate experience.

Event Details

Day 1: Tuesday, September 3, 2019 @ 11 AM (all day)

Day 2: Wednesday, September 4, 2019 @ 9 AM (all day)

Location: Bahen Centre for Information Technology, 40 St. George St.

One or Both Days?

To maximize your experience, you should plan to attend both days in full.

Evening Events

In addition to the informative sessions during the day, there are exciting evening student social events included as well. Please refer to the orientation schedule relevant to your program for more information. We hope that you will keep your schedule open for these too.

Other Orientation Events in Bahen Centre

Please be aware that there will be other orientation events going on in the building. Make sure that you come to the right one! Refer to the appropriate agenda document above for room numbers and look for signage throughout the Bahen building on the day of the orientation.

School of Graduate Studies (SGS) Orientation

In addition to the Department of Computer Science orientation, the School of Graduate Studies will be holding its Graduate Orientation event on Tuesday, September 3rd. We recommend that you attend this orientation as well (this event requires a separate registration). You can choose either of the following sessions:

9:00 - 10:30 AM | Research stream programs (MSc, PhD, MScAC students)

4:30 - 6:00 PM | Professional programs (MScAC students)

These sessions will take place at the Chestnut Conference Centre Ballroom (89 Chestnut St.), which is approximately a 20 minute walk to/from the Bahen Centre.
