FAQs

Where will we be visiting?

FoodShare Toronto – It all starts here!

Tour our Mobile Market Bus and learn about our Balcony Garden Animation Pilot Project

FoodShare’s Sunshine Market Garden at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.

The Sunshine Garden and Market located at 1001 Queen Street West in Toronto, Canada’s first market garden on the grounds of a hospital. Through two rounds of construction, it has moved twice and is now a lush and tranquil oasis located at the rear of the hospital. After more than 10 years, the Sunshine Garden continues to grow hope along with food.

Good Neighbourhoods Good Food Market

This Good Food Market is run as a partnership between residents at 250 Davenport and a local organization and was restarted just this season. 250 Davenport is slated for revitalization and has a community garden, active leadership around food justice and this Good Food Market.

3rd location - TBA - A FoodShare School Grown Project - In partnership with TDSB, these projects work with students during the school year in classes, then hire 12 students for the summer to farm a high school property and rooftop - then bring the food to two different farmers markets and restaurants. We will finish our day with a harvest celebration meal at one of our school grown locations!
