Following the announcement of the Commercialization Prize, we will host an engaging panel discussion on product commercialization in Canada. Chaired by ReMAP Board Chair Brad Jackson, the panel will comprise of industry experts from technology companies that are in various stages of growth and development. We'll hear from @7DSurgical, @AwakeLabs, @PawCharge, @KeplerComms, and @trainwithPUSH. These Canadian innovators will address the commercialization challenges in bringing their technologies to the global market.


Beau Standish, CEO at 7D Surgical

Dr. Beau Standish is the CEO of 7D Surgical Inc. 7D's team focuses on the advancement of optical technologies and registration algorithms to improve surgical workflow and patient care, having solved major problems that have existed for 20 years limiting the widespread adoption of image guided surgery. The Envision 3D™ Image Guidance System has been designed from the ground up and incorporates state-of-the-art 3D patient digitization to provide superb surgical guidance accuracy without intraoperative radiation.


Andrea Palmer, CEO at Awake Labs

Andrea Palmer is an entrepreneur, autism health advocate, and exponential tech geek based in Vancouver, BC. She is the Founder and CEO of Awake Labs, an autism health company committed to empowering those living on the autism spectrum. Their product, Reveal, is a wearable device that measures and tracks physiological signals in real time to help people living with autism understand changes in behaviour.


Farbod Mansorian, Co-Founder at PawCharge

Farbod Mansorian is a Co-Founder and Product Manager at PawCharge, a company that has developed a battery sharing program and prototype that allows smartphone users to charge their mobile devices on-the-go. By recharging, reusing and recycling portable battery charges, PawCharge reduces the harm on the environment caused by discarded hazardous lithium-ion and lithium-polymer batteries.


Mina Mitry, Co-Founder at Kepler Communications

Mina Mitry is a Co-Founder at Kepler Communications, a space-based telecommunications company that provides internet services for space assets. Kepler is enabling real-time communications access to other spacecraft by developing a constellation of data relaying satellites that will effectively act as on-orbit cell phone towers, ultimately looking to replicate the development of ground-based communications infrastructure in space.


Rami Alhamad, CEO at PUSH

Rami Alhamad is the CEO of PUSH, a Toronto-based startup established with the goal of revolutionizing the way athletes train. A wearable device, PUSH's core technology allows athletes to track, analyze, and act on objective metrics that directly reflect their performance in the gym. Leveraging velocity based training as well as a suite of advanced screening tests, coaches can establish baselines for their athletes and monitor their progress in real-time towards their goals for each phase.
