Denis Morais is the Chief Technology Officer for ShipConstructor Software Inc. (SSI) where he is responsible for managing all aspects related to the product development of SSI’s project portfolio. As part of the executive management team Denis develops a strategy to satisfy market requirements using creative and innovative technology solutions. Denis has extensive experience and knowledge using various development platforms which allows him to have a deep technical understanding of the entire SSI solution suite. Denis has been internationally recognized for his published papers and continues to present on innovative solutions to the current challenges of the marine industries. He has a Computer Technology Diploma from Red River College and a BSc. Computer Engineering from the University of Victoria.


- Autodesk Technical Evangelist -

Lynn Allen, Autodesk Technical Evangelist, speaks to more than 30,000 users worldwide each year. She has written Cadalyst’s "Circles and Lines" column since 1993 and is the creator of Cadalyst’s popular AutoCAD video tips. She began using AutoCAD software with Release 1.4 more than 20 years ago and taught at the corporate and collegiate levels for 13 years before joining Autodesk. A sought-after public speaker with a unique comedic style, she is the host of Autodesk University and always one of the event’s highest-rated speakers. She has written three AutoCAD books; the latest is titled AutoCAD Professional Tips and Techniques. You can reach her at lynn.allen@autodesk.com.


- Director of Costfact GmbH -

Jan O. Fischer is the Director of COSTFACT GmbH. The same-named software system specializes in the maritime sector and supports cost management throughout all shipbuilding phases, beginning with design and engineering. Besides his engagement in the deployment of CostFact, Jan is strongly involved in software implementation. This means that he is in permanent and close contact with clients and users. Before funding COSTFACT in 2008, Jan worked in industrial engineering, consulting and information technology, always with a focus on cost efficient design and cost management that accompanies the engineering process.


- Director of Business -

Mr. Rob Parker is currently the Director of Business Technologies for Praeses.  In his current role, Mr. Parker acts as a principal consultant to explore and to solve business problems through implementing new business processes by leveraging technology.  Combining over 20 years of process engineering and technology project management experience, Mr. Parker has been instrumental in the successful implementation of several technology solutions across the shipbuilding industry.  Mr. Parker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisiana and a Master of Science degree in Engineering and Technology Management from Louisiana Tech University.  He is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.  

- Technical Product Manager -

Ahmed Amoumene 
as a technical product manager is responsible for defining product requirements and define minimally viable product feature-sets using iterative approach to build the solution. In his day to day work, he is involved with close interaction with the development team. Gather requirements from existing and potential customers, writing market requirements documents or agile product backlogs, and monitoring the implementation of each product project. Ahmed is a certified PMI agile practitioner and a Microsoft certified IT professional.


- Senior Product Owner -

Norman Eldridge is the Senior Product Owner for ShipConstructor Software Inc. (SSI) where he is responsible for managing the development of SSI’s product portfolio and roadmap. As Product Manager, Norman is responsible for gathering and analyzing market data, building relationships with customers and resellers, collecting and prioritizing  market requirements, translating business requirements for development, and shaping the product roadmap. Norman has extensive technical and marketing product management experience in consumer, government, commercial, and enterprise software markets. Norman has a BSc. in Physics from the University of Victoria, an MSc. in Geodetic Sciences at University Laval, and is an avid ocean enthusiast experienced in sailboat racing, cruising and scuba diving.


- Director of Operations -

Patrick Roberts is Director of Operations for ShipConstructor USA, the US subsidiary of ShipConstructor Software Inc., where he is in charge of US-based sales, support, training, consulting and various research and development projects for the US market. Prior to his work at ShipConstructor, Roberts spent 10 years in the US commercial shipbuilding and repair industry while holding various management positions. Roberts has actively been involved in the National Shipbuilding Research Program for over 15 years and has served as an NSRP Panel Vice Chairman for 11 years. He has a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering Technology and Business Management from the University of Southern Mississippi.

- Training Coordinator -

Josh Hawthorne
is the Training Coordinator for ShipConstructor Software Inc. (SSI) where he is responsible for the overseeing the development and deployment of SSI’s global Certified Training Curriculum, including its upcoming Online Certified Training program. This standardized training material offers three levels of certification and has been developed through extensive collaboration between SSI clients, developers, trainers and dealers to provide a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience. Josh has over 20 years of public speaking, curriculum design and classroom teaching experience and has a B.Ed from the University of Victoria.

- Client Success Specialist -

Ilya Chudakov
is a versatile specialist who has been filling multiple externally- and internally-oriented roles with a wide range of responsibilities. During his time at SSI, Ilya has made significant contributions into creation of several products such as WeldManagement, MarineDrafting and P&ID DesignValidation while acting as a liaison between SSI clients and software engineers. He has also been helping with promoting software releases, educating users and raising product awareness. Ilya combines strong knowledge of SSI products with understanding of shipbuilding activities, engineering practices and business implications. He holds an MSc and BSc in Applied Physics and Mathematics from the Moscow State Institute of Physics and Technologies, and an MBA from the University of Victoria.

In addition to his work with InnovMarine Inc., he currently serves in the Naval Reserve of the Royal Canadian Navy as a Marine Engineer System Operator. Pierre-Charles is widely known to leaders in Canada’s maritime construction industry as he was a principal organizer of the Canadian Conference on Modern Shipbuilding, held to discuss the Canadian Government’s National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy.
