Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Emperor of All Maladies and the newly released book The Gene, will use his gifts for story-telling and clear explanation to address the prospects of humanity's fight against cancer. He will outline the modern, rapidly evolving understanding of the basic biology of cancer, including the genetics of cancer. He will discuss how these exciting frontiers of knowledge are changing the way we prevent, treat and cure cancer, opening wider the door to a brighter future.

4:30 PM - 6 PM - Meet and Greet (Shoctor Lobby)
Come and meet Wellspring Edmonton’s many supporters including Board members, health care providers, our builders and volunteers, and patients, families and friends who will use our programs and services. You will be able to purchase Dr. Mukherjee’s books and have them signed. Join us for free refreshments and learn more about Wellspring Edmonton.
