Description

Water conservation and GHG reduction are issues with growing importance for Canadian health care facilities. In this webinar, we will look at the big picture of water conservation and GHGs in the Canadian health sector, and review some success stories from Canadian facilities that have managed to improve their efficiency, save costs, and save water.

Presenters:

  • David Bligh, embedded efficiency engineer from Capital Health in Nova Scotia. Capital Health has completed an impressive water reduction initiative at their laundry facility in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. A detailed green best practice case study on the initiative will be released following the webinar.
  • Guillaume Lavallée, project director for Ecosystem Energy Services. Guillaume managed the implementation of extensive energy and water saving measures at Lakeridge Health in Ontario including cogeneration, steam-to-hot-water conversion, centralization of the city water cooling load, and more.
  • Mike Dennison, senior officer at the Office of Energy Efficiency, Natural Resources Canada, will provide an update on the ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager platform for health care facilities.
