The Kiwanis Sports Celebrity Dinner is a highly anticipated and unique event that is attended by many Guelphites and their families, where they enjoy cocktails, raffles, live and silent auctions in addition to a delicious dinner. Special guests from the sports world share their stories and it's a great opportunity to get an autograph!

Individuals inducted into the Guelph Sports Hall of Fame are honoured either on an individual basis or team basis depending on their sport. All inductees receive a beautiful replica of the framed portrait of themselves that is added to the Sports Hall of Fame located in The Sleeman Centre in downtown Guelph.


2024 Speakers & Celebrities


Vicky Sunohara - Three-time Team Canada Women's Hocley Gold Medalist

Vicky Sunohara is a Canadian ice hockey coach, former ice hockey player, and three-time Olympic medallist. She has been described as "the Wayne Gretzky of women's hockey" and is recognized as a trailblazer and pioneer for the sport.


Sasha Beck - Paralympian Triathlon Guide & Triathlon Canada Board Member

Accomplished triathlete, professional engineer and mother, Sasha Beck, will lead her peer group to help shape the future of the Triathlon Canada Nation as a member of the national sport body’s Board of Directors.

Beck retired from triathlon after guiding Christine Robbins in the sport’s Paralympic debut at Rio de Janeiro 2016. She continues to coach and mentor youth and adult athletes in the sport in Ontario in addition to her full-time career in the energy industry where she brings her expertise as an engineer to Enbridge Gas Inc. Operational Change Management team.


Kiara Lylyk - Team Canada Cycling

Kiara Lylyk, 19, captured the Gold medal in the women’ team pursuit at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games last fall.

Recently she placed fourth in a UCI elite race at the 2023 Tour de Gatineau. She also competed in the junior women’s road race at the 2022 UCI Road Cycling World Championships and won silver in the junior women’s road race at the 2022 Canadian Cycling Championships.

Lylyk twice won Gold at the Canadian Track National Championships and was 7-time junior Women’s Gold medallists at Track National Championships. This past January, she was selected to road race for a UCI continental team; Boneshaker/Orange Seal Professional Cycling based out of Ft. Worth Texas and started the season in El Salvador with a 3rd in a UCI prologue. She currently attends Brevard College in North Carolina.


Steve Milton - Veteran Sports Columnist & Author

Steve Milton has spent 42-years as a journalist, 33 with the Hamilton Spectator as a renowned writer covering a variety of sports both locally and nationally. He is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and the Skate Canada Hall of Fame.

Recently he joined the Hamilton Sports Group where he will be the Multiplatform Columnist that will deliver exclusive written, video and audio coverage of the Ticats and Forge FC.




2024 Sports Hall of Fame Inductees


Danielle Everitt-Sinclair (Athlete)

Danielle Everitt-Sinclair was a dynamic athlete. While she won a national softball championship with the Guelph Gators in 1997, basketball was where she rose to prominence. She played three seasons with the McMaster Marauders and two years with the University of Victoria Vikes where she won the national women’s basketball championship in 2003. She was named an all-Canadian in 2004. She would later coach Canada’s U16 girl’s basketball team, the Carelton University Ravens and University of Victoria Vike’s basketball teams. This past season, Danielle also captured her second consecutive USports women’s title with the Ravens. She became the first head coach of the Ravens’ program to win two national titles.


David Clutchey (Builder)

David Clutchey was the co-founder of the Guelph Marlins Swim Club in 1968. The Marlins have now been in operation for 50 years and has served thousands of Guelph families from local to international swimmers. David was the first Marlin coach and the only volunteer head coach in the club’s history.


Pat teBoekhorst (Builder)

Pat teBoekhorst has dedicated over 45 years of her life to teaching young people how to skate. She was a coach and technical director of the Guelph Figure Skating Club for 20 years working with young boys and girls, and for years delivered the Rhapsody on Ice skating shows. She also became a very successful power skating coach working with many aspiring hockey players looking to improve their overall skating.


Paul Ante (Builder)

Paul Ante has left his mark on baseball in the Royal City. He has been a part of the Guelph Royals Intercounty baseball team for decades as coach, manager and administrator winning four championships. Ante runs baseball clinics every year and still coaches, teaching his young players not only the fundamentals of baseball, but how to be humble in victory and congratulatory in defeat.

  2. The Past Inductee ticket is reserved for past inductees and members of the Guelph Sports Hall of Fame only. If you have been inducted into the Guelph Sports Hall of Fame, please select this ticket type, which includes event admittance and full meal.
  3. The Student ticket is reserved for anyone who is 17 years of age or less. If you are 17 years of age or less, please select this ticket type, which includes event admittance and full meal.
  4. The 2024 Inductee ticket is reserved for only new 2024 Guelph Sports Hall of Fame inductees. If you are a 2024 Inductee, please select this ticket type. Note: Family members and friends of 2024 inductees should select from the other General Admission, or Student ticket types.
