Course Description:

Learn how to calculate taxable earnings, deduct correct statutory withholdings (Income Tax, CPP and EI) and arrive at correct net pay. Discover how to deal with all the stakeholders involved with payroll – employees, employers, government agencies, insurance and pension companies, workers safety and insurance boards. The course will also cover federal and provincial payroll compliance legislation.

Payroll Accounting Training Certification:

The Payroll Accounting Training certificate will be issued by Skills for Change. Skills for Change (Career Skills) is a recognized training institution by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities.


Tax Receipt

Skills for Change offers tax receipts for your tax returns. The Canadian could refund you for all or part of the course payment when you file your taxes.


Refund Policy:

Clients may cancel their registration for a course at any time. Refunds will be issued on a pro-rata basis, taking into account the unattended portion of the course. Refund amount will be calculated based on the percentage of the course duration that remains unused at the time of cancellation. Transaction fees (e.g., Eventbrite fees) will not be refunded. Refunds take 7 to 30 business days to be processed.

What are the prerequisites for the course?

You must have access to a computer. You must have an ability to speak, write and understand English. There are no strict prerequisites, but a basic understanding of accounting and/or finance concepts is an asset.

How do I register and pay for the course?

Once you are on the registration page, click on tickets, navigate to the checkout, then provide your name and contact information and make the payment. Credit card, debit card, or Paypal are welcome methods of payment. We do not accept cash or cheque payments.

Is there financial support available for the course?

Unfortunately, we do not offer financial support through this program. The fees are paid by the client. If you are receiving Ontario Works or social assistance, please talk to your case worker to see what you could be eligible for.

Will I be issued a certificate upon course completion?

Are there any in-person session in the course?

No, all classes will be held remotely.

What kind of support is available for participants?

We provide various support channels including email support an, in some cases, live phone support. Our goal is to ensure that participants have the assistance they need throughout the learning process.

Is installment payment available for the course?
