Our keynote speaker for the program will be Kevin Laforet, President & CEO of Caesars Windsor. This year marks Caesars Windsor’s 30 year anniversary and it gives us the opportunity to reflect on the incredible impact they have had on our community. As the first commercial casino in the country, the evolution of the property over the years has been a testament to their commitment to employees and guests to be a world-class employer and attraction.

A bout Kevin Laforet: Kevin Laforet has been a member of the executive team since the company was formed in 1994. He held a number of positions and was named President & CEO in June, 2003.
He has been in the unique position of opening four casino properties - the interim Casino Windsor facility in 1994, the Northern Belle Riverboat Casino in 1995, the permanent facility in 1998 and the expansion and rebranding to Caesars Windsor in 2008.
He is currently a Board Member for Windsor Canada Utilities Ltd., Enwin Energy Ltd. and Invest Windsor Essex. Past Board participation included The Canadian Gaming Association (Chair), Windsor International Airport (YQG), United Way of Windsor-Essex, The Odette School of Business Advisory Committee, Windsor-Essex Chamber of Commerce and The University of Windsor Board of Governors.
Before entering the gaming industry, his prior employment experience included positions with the Canadian and U.S. operations of Hiram Walker & Sons Limited, Union Gas Limited and Ernst & Young. He is a graduate of the University of Windsor (Bachelor of Commerce) and holds Chartered Accountant (CA) and Canadian Professional Accountant (CPA) designations.
Kevin received the `Gaming Professional of the Year’ Award from the Casino Management Association, the `Industry Leadership and Outstanding Contribution Award’ from the Canadian Gaming Association and a key to the City of Windsor.
