About this event

During the COVID-19 pandemic, frontline workers have continued to provide support to clients and communities, many of whom have been thrown into crisis. Emerging data and reports from those on the front lines, highlight the significant increase in gender-based violence which continue to strain health services, essential services and frontline workers. While working to support communities on the margins, many of those of the frontline emphasis the impact of these changes on their mental health and ability to work effectively with marginalized communities impacted by gender based violence. This session explores the signs of burnout, stress and compassion fatigue as well as strengthen resilience and self-compassion tools and strategies while supporting our communities.

This is a collaborated event between Durham College and Ontario Tech University.
