Celebrate the Scottish culture and heritage of the Ottawa Valley at the 39th annual North Lanark Highland Games in Almonte, Ontario. With more than twenty pipe bands, hundreds of dancers and champion and amature heavyweight athletes combine to present what is recognized as one of the Ottawa Valley’s premier summer events.

With children's mini games, free admission for kids 11 and under, and the picturesque Mississippi River as the backdrop, the Almonte Games have a reputation not only as having the prettiest site but also as being the friendliest family Games on the Ontario circuit.

• YES portable toilets on site

• YES low-backed chairs permitted

• YES cameras permitted

• YES backpacks, purses and handbags permitted

• YES walking aids, wheelchairs, baby strollers and wagons permitted

• NO outside alcohol

• NO knives/weapons/guns

• NO tents/trailors/RV's on site (Trailors and RV's may be parked at the Almonte & District Community Center)


Rain or Shine:

Be prepared with sunscreen, sunglasses, and a raincoat or umbrella; the North Lanark Highland Games will take place, rain or shine!

If severe weather is observed in the area we will make the proper announcement via our PA systems including the severity of the storm, evacuation instructions, and festival suspension.


Parking:

Parking is at the Almonte & District Community Center, with a free shuttle service to and from the Games site. Limited parking is available on local streets however please be respectful of residents and posted parking restrictions. Please note that there is no RV parking on site. If you come in an RV, please park at the Almonte & Distric Community Center.

Almonte Arena is located at:

1 82 Bridge St., Almonte, ON K0A 1A0

Limited parking is also available on the NLHG grounds. On-site parking is $10 and only available for purchase at the gate. Parking does not have any in & out privileges.


Entry & Re-Entry:

Festival goers will receive a wristband, providing full in & out privileges.


COVID-19:

All provincial health and safety measures will be followed. This is an outdoor, open-air event on a large site.


Alcohol Rules:

• NO UNDERAGE DRINKING IS PERMITTED

• ALL LAWS WILL BE ENFORCED

• NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PERMITTED

• Have your ID available

• PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBLY. Persons will not be allowed to enter the festival if they are intoxicated or pose a threat to themselves or others. Persons found to be intoxicated in the entertainment space will be escorted out without a refund.
