About this event

The year 2024 marks 40 years since East Van photographer Walter Frost donated his extensive collection of 13,369 black & white photographic negatives to the City of Vancouver Archives in 1984.

To commemorate this anniversary, a new exhibition will be on display at the City of Vancouver Archives that features select black & white photos by Walter Frost of ships illustrating Vancouver’s pivotal role in the establishment of Canada's presence and sovereignty in the Arctic.
