What is the Event Schedule?

The CREATE! Arts Festival will be held on Saturday, July 22nd, 10am - 7:00pm, & on Sunday, July 23rd, 10 am – 5:30pm. Workshops times on both days are: 10am, 1pm and 3:30pm. Each Workshop Length is max. 2 hours.

Where is the Event Location?

The location on Saturday July 22nd is Strathcona Park, Vancouver (857 Malkin Ave.). Locations on Sunday July 23rd are Mergatroid Building/Terminal City Glass (1191 Parker St. Vancouver), & Georgia Art Studios (884 East Georgia St. Vancouver).

Before Booking, What Should I Know?

Workshops are available for ages 5 and up, see workshop details for suitable ages of each workshop. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your workshop time to allow time to check in. , Check-in tent is located on the east side of Strathcona Park on Saturday, and at Mergatroid and 1000 Parker on Sunday.

Tickets & Refunds

Accepted Answer

Workshops are $35, except for the kids workshops which are $20. The Art! Bike! Beer! Crawl tickets are $60 (19+ only). Tickets can be purchased through our site via Eventbrite. Tickets can be refunded 4 days prior to the festival and are processed through point of purchase (Eventbrite).

What Should I Bring?

All materials are provided for each workshop except where noted in each workshop description. All workshops are suitable for beginners and up. Bring aprons or smocks to protect clothes for messy activities.

Can I Bring my Dog?

For the safety and comfort of all, we ask that pets be left at home. Dogs are not permitted in the event site.

What Should I Wear?

Accepted Answer

The event is rain or shine. We strongly recommend that participants be prepared for the weather outside during their time at the festival and wear comfortable clothing and footwear, bring layers, bring water and sunscreen. Workshop areas will be tented. Bring aprons or smocks to protect clothes.

Parking / Transit / Biking

Accepted Answer

There is controlled street parking on the east side of Strathcona Park and around Mergatroid Studios, but we encourage everyone to utilize car shares, take transit, cycle or walk to the event. There will be dedicated bike racks at Strathcona Park on Saturday, bring your bike lock.

Are there Washrooms?

Accepted Answer

There will be washrooms provided on site and in the field house of the park by the playground. Washrooms on site will be gender-neutral portable structures, with one wheelchair-accessible portable washroom.

Are There Food and Drinks on Site?

Accepted Answer

Food will be available for purchase from food trucks on site as well as beer, wine and cider from Strange Fellows Brewing (19+ to purchase). The whole site is licensed, non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.

What Items are Prohibited?

Accepted Answer

No weapons of any kind. No drugs and/or drug use. No outside alcohol or food. No dogs or pets allowed on site.

Question 12

What is the Accessibility of the Saturday Event?

Accepted Answer

On Saturday, the event site is on grass, gravel, and uneven terrain, there is no ramp access to the park. The open-air work setting will have ambient noise, conversational sound levels, and loud areas with the noise of food truck generators. There's a wheelchair-accessible portable washroom on site.

What is the Accessibility of the Sunday Event?

On Sunday, each workshop is located in a different Eastside Studio. Not all studios are wheelchair accessible. Details for accessibility are listed in each of the Sunday workshop details on Eventbrite.
