About this event

During COVID-19 the Office of the Advocate for Persons with Disabilities (OAPD) heard of the effect that increased social isolation and lack of services had on the mental health of Albertans with disabilities. Several areas of the mental health system such as lack of access to health care, lack of affordability of service, lack of transportation to treatment and not enough treatment options for persons with disabilities were worsened.

The Advocate for Persons with Disabilities would like to invite Albertans with disabilities, their supports, and other stakeholders to share their experiences accessing mental health services in Alberta. Your voice is important to help the OAPD make recommendations to the Government of Alberta for improvement.
