About Us

Afrika Outbound provides youth and young adults from the GTA with access to life-enriching Afrocentric travel experiences.

Our Black Creek Outbound in Ontario program is entering its third year. Each summer, we take Toronto youth from 16 to 25 years old on a multi-day journey across Southwestern Ontario to visit early Black settlements in Hamilton, Niagara Falls, Fort Erie, Chatham-Kent, Dresden, Buxton, Windsor, Amherstburg, and Owen Sound.

These once-in-a-lifetime trips range from a weekend to a whole week! Youth make friends, build community, and learn about Black heritage in Canada while developing the skills they need to become pioneers of positive change within their communities.

Event and program are funded by the Youth Opportunities Fund, a program of the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
