*CANCELLED* Ages 40s + 50's* Singles Speed-Mixer Event

AN ALTERNATIVE TO SPEED DATING! This speed mixer will combine the elements of speed dating and also a social mixer. Bring your business cards as this is also an opportunity for networking and meeting new friends.

We will have an icebreaker activity, raffle, a game and lots of time for mingling. Attendees will have 6 minutes to chat with anyone of their choice and at the sound of the bell will select another person to chat with. We will repeat this several times and then we will stop for a raffle, a game and then continue mingling with drinks, and you are welcome to stay and order food after the event. It is better than speed dating as you are not obligated to sit and speak with all attendees!

No need to be nervous, just remember that everyone is in the same boat. Let's get off those apps and try something different! All within an atmosphere that has low volume music where you can hear each other speak! All you have to do is show up and just start talking to anyone even someone of the same gender! Come with an open mind. Every effort will be made to keep the gender ratio balanced, however no guarantees can be made.

The event takes place at a trendy Nigerian food restaurant. Drinks/appetizers are available during the event. If you have not had West African food before, you must try it! They have a tasty selection of cocktails and main courses. TICKET INCLUDES A SAMPLE OF SUYA FLATBREAD APPETIZER FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO TRY IT (a Nigerian BBQ beef pizza) AND A NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE.

Attendees are encouraged to initiate exchanging contacts at the event. (If you are asked for your contact information but do not feel a romantic vibe with the person, you can always let them know that you would be happy to exchange contacts but that you feel more of a friendship vibe). If you want to be connected with someone but are not sure if they are interested, feel free to send us an email me after the event we will try to play matchmaker after the event is over! Make sure to pay attention to attendees names! Feel free to provide honest feedback to the host so future events and attendees can benefit.

The event will start promptly (3pm) so please arrive early.

Steps away from St Clair Subway (Yonge and St Clair). Parking can be found on the nearby side streets or public lots.

Spots are limited. In an attempt to balance the male-female ratio, only limited tickets (for $35 cash) MAY be available at the door, please contact us by email or direct message at least 3 hours before the event to ask about availability. No refunds. (If the gender ratio is very unbalanced, the event will be postponed. Please check your email the day before the event for any update)
