In our Branch Out Workshop Series, we equip Albertans to meet their personal, career and financial goals through leveraging opportunities in the non-traditional workforce. In this workshop series, you learn how to align to the changing needs of employers and growing opportunities in the non-traditional workforce. You learn how to land a job faster, set up an independent career or leverage a portfolio career of multiple income streams by combining part-time jobs, multiple contracts, side hustle gigs or entrepreneurial ventures.

Albertans report that non-traditional work helped them build experience and skills, get their foot in the door of a company, add to their income streams, increase their network, meet their need for a flexible work schedule and test drive their entrepreneurial spirit. Albertans who are skilled at navigating traditional and non-traditional workforce trends also report having better career resiliency and feel they can better maintain income and employment during shifts in the labour market.
