Dirt Road Productions in partnership with Douglas College Theatre Department presents An Iliad written by Lisa Peterson and Denis O'Hare. The ancient tale of the Trojan War and the modern world collide in this captivating theatrical experience, exploring the nature of human conflict. Peterson and O’Hare imagine a Poet, a timeless figure doomed to relive the story of the Trojan War. Until the day when human nature changes, when our enduring addiction to rage comes to an end, when the telling of a war story becomes unnecessary.
Through the dynamic direction of Kathleen Duborg and heartfelt performances of Thrasso Petras as the Poet and Sarah May Redmond as the Muse, An Iliad offers a unique and poignant reflection on the impact of war and its global consequences throughout history. This production promises to be a moving and thought-provoking experience.
