KING KUNG (Ott Rawk)
It’s been 25 years since KING KUNG reared it’s ugly head to traumatize the 90’s alt-rock scene. Born from the rotting remains of seminal Ottawa stars Mushroom Explosion and Trip Hammer, KING KUNG pounded out hard hitting riff-rock to adoring audiences from the GTA to Halifax. Their classic album “Smashing Glass / Breaking Hearts” made them college radio darlings, and their parties at the infamous Arthur street punk house are legendary!

DOUBLE PUMPERS (Ottawa Stoner Rock)
Formed in 2003, Damian Sawka (rollicking 4-string bombast/sweet vox), Dave Martindale (frenzied old-skool six string technique/impassioned vox) and Paul “Yogi” Granger (meat n’ potato skin thumper) converge to create a timeless tone marrying the austerity of Captain Beyond with the force of the Sabs and a hint of what made BTO Canada’s greatest hard rock expungers.

RECOILERS (Ottawa Indie Rock)
Dreamy indie pop with loud guitars, catchy melodies, and harmonies influenced by the Beach Boys and Sonic Youth.

THE SHAWN “JAM” HILL FAMILY FUNDRAISER.
Several years ago, Ottawa musician Shawn Hill suffered a life-altering brain injury, which devastated his family and friends. The situation became even more heartbreaking when Shawn’s partner, Melissa, passed this month, leaving their child Levi’s future uncertain. This benefit concert is part of a community initiative to help secure Levi’s future.
