Join Award Winning Photographer Dawnelle Salant for an afternoon of photography fun as we stroll through Inglewood Bird Sanctuary!
Dawnelle will walk you through basic photography composition techniques such a leading lines, the rule of thirds and how to use light to your advantage. The focus will be on Landscape and Wildlife Photography, but many of these techniques can be applied to portraits as well. Photographers of all levels are welcome.
A device that takes photos is recommended but you don't need a fancy camera - even a cell phone will do! Dawnelle will end with some activities you can do with budding shutter bugs at your school.
Open to all members of ATA Local 55. A $5.00 registration fee will be charged to hold your spot. Light snacks are provided.
Dawnelle Salant is a teacher, traveler and photographer based in Calgary, Alberta. Dawnelle's love for photography developed while she was teaching overseas and wanting to share the incredible sights she was experiencing with her family and friends. Dawnelle runs a photography business and works as a DLCT for Calgary Catholic. She currently runs a Photography Club for Junior High students and loves sharing her passion with her students. Dawnelle has won several awards from Master Photographers International for her Wildlife and Landscape photography and has been featured in Rachel Notley's Art From the Unknown exhibit for the past two years. www.dawnellesalantphotography.com
