Atlas in a Day Workshop

Come join us for a hands-on workshop in which you’ll learn how to use maps to tell stories, create your own map in just one day, and make an atlas on the theme of fragility in collaboration with the other workshop participants. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned mapmaker, this workshop will offer a unique opportunity to explore the potential of maps to tell stories, inspired by the “Atlas in a Day” experiments from the Guerilla Cartography collective.

Participants are encouraged to think ahead of time about an idea for their map on the theme of fragility, understood in the broadest possible terms.

This event will be in English only, with Q&A and individual help in both English and French.

Atelier Atlas en un Jour

Venez participer à un atelier pratique dans lequel vous apprendrez à partager des récits à l’aide la cartographie, concevrez une carte en l’espace d’une journée, et créerez un atlas sur le thème de la fragilité en collaboration avec les autres participant.e.s de l’atelier. Que vous soyez un.e. cartographe débutant.e ou chevronné.e, cet atelier sera l’occasion d’explorer les possibilités de la cartographie comme outil narratif, inspiré par les « Atlas en un jour » du collectif Guerilla Cartography.

Les participant.e.s sont encouragé.e.s à réfléchir à l’avance à une idée de carte narrative sur le thème de la fragilité, entendu au sens le plus large possible.

Cet événement aura lieu en anglais seulement, avec questions et réponses et aide individuelle disponible en anglais et français.
