Bake delicious treats while exploring and learning about the thriving community of the Junction Triangle!

About this Event

Jane’s Walk helps knit people together into strong and resourceful communities, instilling belonging. This event will give participants the opportunity to bake delicious treats while exploring and learning about the thriving community of the Junction Triangle, where the Centre is situated. Join us to celebrate local food and community!

Hosted by George Chuvalo Neighbourhood Centre (GCNC)- a site of Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre devoted to community use in Toronto’s Junction Triangle. GCNC delivers programs, services and events focused on children, youth and families, and LGBTQ2SI+ inclusion. We host community-led programming, serve as a gathering place for local initiatives, and offer affordable space rentals. GCNC is home to LOFT Kitchen, a Café and Catering Social Enterprise providing fresh local food while also facilitating supportive employment and training opportunities for youth.

Food Instructor, Mar Sanchez, has been part of the food industry for 11 years and has brought their experience in cooking and baking to the Centre since October, their role with the Centre includes: supervising café operations, baking, cooking and organizing the weekly farmers market.
