About this event

The BIAYR Survivor Peer Support Group is a chance to get to know others living with the effects of brain injury and to get the support you need in a safe, compassionate, non-judgemental and confidential environment. This group is for adults living with a brain injury over the age of 18. You can share your stories, provide support, ask questions, or listen - this group is for you!

Meeting time is 10:30 am - 12:00 pm EST

BIAYR's Survivor Support Group Facilitator:

Antonina is a Registered Social Worker with over 6 years of experience working with adults and seniors in a variety of settings. She has extensive experience working with individuals newly diagnosed or with long-standing cognitive impairment and memory loss. Antonina has supported individuals, families and caregivers struggling with caregiver burnout, depression, isolation, and lack of support. She is trained in therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills (DBT), and solution-focused approach. Antonina is passionate about the role of intention and mindfulness in health and healing. She strives for her clients to feel safe, secure, and understood as she gently guides and encourages the exploration of experiences, emotions, and challenges. Antonina works together with clients to attend to the barriers preventing them from reaching their most authentic self. She truly believes that every individual has the potential to lead a healthy, meaningful, and joyful life.
