Brew Donkey Tours (Tour and Launch Event)

Brew Donkey, Ottawa’s first and only craft beer delivery and brewery tour service, is taking its proven expertise and passion down HWY 401 to the growing Southwestern Ontario craft beer market. Starting in June, they are introducing their extremely popular brewery bus tours to the people of Kitchener/Waterloo.

“The reason we chose Kitchener/Waterloo is because of its vibrant community spirit and the growing craft beer scene. The breweries in the area are all built to entertain and educate guests, which is also a crucial part of our service. It seemed like the right thing to do for us and for the area,” says Brad Campeau, owner.

Building on the success Brew Donkey has had in Ottawa, the tour service will initially start with three routes, offering pickup and drop-off at the Abe Erb Restaurant on King St in Waterloo.

“In getting to know the region, we noticed how proud the area is of its rivers and waterways. For this reason and the fact that water is an integral ingredient in making beer, we decided to name the three tours after the rivers they follow - A Grand Ride North, A Grand Ride South, and Speed of Brite - each named after the rivers that give their cities and countryside so much character.”

The first public tour, A Grand Ride North, is scheduled for June 11, 2016. This tour will highlight three breweries and a distillery following the Grand River northward.

A media launch event and tour is planned for Sunday May 1 at Abe Erb and will feature four local breweries.
