"Good bylaws alone do not make an effective organization; they are an outline of its structure. However, suitable bylaws are necessary to enable an organization to function well."
Alice Sturgis; "The Standard Code of Parliamentary Procedure"; 2001
Every organized group needs Bylaws to ensure that members and leaders understand the rules under which they agree to operate, rules that need to be refreshed from time to time as the environment changes and the group evolves. Are you clear on why you need Bylaws? What needs to be included in contemporary Bylaws? Have you examined your Bylaws lately to assess their strengths and weaknesses? Are your Bylaws included in your board manual? What else is in your Board manual (handbook) to help board members fulfill their duties and responsibilities?
Join us on December 8, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for Building Better Board Bylaws and Board Member Handbooks. You will gain knowledge in the following areas:
